AGNITY is founded by a team of experts from telecom and enterprises domain who bring years of experience with Tier-1 companies such as Motorola, BEA, Microsoft, Lucent, SWIFT, etc. They are familiar with the operators’ environments and challenges, inside and out. The strength of our leadership team includes deep understanding of multiple domains, core skills in telecommunications including VoIP, IMS, and multimedia technologies; expertise in enterprise domains including healthcare, financial and energy sectors; leading and contributing to standards bodies; first-hand experience of delivering and deploying products in carriers worldwide; extensive experience of product development across global development centers with strong process orientation, and 24 x 7 support to carriers worldwide. 

Sanjeev Chawla, President and CEO

Sanjeev Chawla comes with 25 years of experience in senior management in telecommunication, networking, and enterprise domains. Sanjeev serves on the Board of Directors of IMS Forum and is an Advisory Board member of multiple startups. Prior to founding AGNITY, Sanjeev was CTO of GENBAND, a global leader of IP infrastructure solutions, enabling enterprise, service and content providers around the world to evolve communications networks through IP innovation, and Founder, CTO and EVP Engineering operations of BayPackets, a provider of IMS compliant Service Delivery Platform and Applications to Global Tier 1 Carriers. Sanjeev also architected and managed development of Society of Worldwide Inter-bank Financial Telecommunication (S.W.I.F.T) - the world's biggest financial messaging network. Sanjeev holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from George Washington University and a Bachelors degree from Indian Institute of Technology, India.  

Ken Epps, Chief Strategy Officer

Ken Epps is the Chief Strategy Officer and a board member of AGNITY Inc. He is responsible for AGNITY's growth strategy, which includes mergers and acquisitions, and new market development. Ken was instrumental in expanding AGNITY Inc. into the Health IT industry, leveraging AGNITY's Communications and Collaboration capabilities. As the past CEO of BayPackets and U4EA Technologies, Chief Marketing Officer of Williams Communications at the Williams Company (NYSE;WMB), and General Manager at AT&T. Ken is an accomplished leader in the Communications and Multimedia industry. Over his career, Ken was responsible for the financing and market launch of two successful startups and the market introduction of a series of next generation and market leading services and applications in the Broadband, Multimedia, Wireless, and the Internet arena. Ken has extensive experience in financing companies both privately and publicly. Ken serves on several advisory boards and is active in professional and community organizations. His academic accomplishments include an MBA from Stanford, an M.S. from University of Tennessee, and a B.S. from South Carolina State University.

Uday Choudhury, VP Product Management

As Vice President of Product Management, Uday Choudhury is responsible for the product strategy, direction setting, and channel partner development for AGNITY's Communications and Multimedia Solutions. He also focuses on the expansion of Services business in the Communications segment. In addition, Uday is in charge of AGNITY Corporate Marketing. He brings in 20 years of experience in building large scale telecom software infrastructure in legacy, next-gen and IMS multimedia applications domain. Uday joined AGNITY from GENBAND, where he was responsible for the product line management of SDP and Applications portfolio, and managed product deployments at tier-1 accounts in Domestic and CALA regions. Prior to that, Uday served as AVP of Product Management for BayPackets, a leading supplier of a carrier-grade communications platform and converged applications for IP, Wireline, and Wireless carriers. Uday also had a long career with Lucent Technologies. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana.


Manjit Singh, Country Manager, India

As Country Manager, Manjit Singh is responsible for India operations and sales activities in the South Asia region. With more than two decades of industry experience, Manjit Singh brings to Agnity an exemplary track record of success working with tier-1 telecommunication service providers in the region. Prior to joining Agnity, Mr. Singh led the sales operations for Ruckus Wireless and won many key contracts from service providers and enterprise customers in the region. Prior to Ruckus Wireless, Mr. Singh worked in many successful technology companies to grow their business in India, including Radwin Wireless, Openwave Systems, Comverse Technologies, Lucent Technologies and Alcatel Networks. He started his career as officer trainee with VXL India in 1990. Manjit is an Electronics Engineer by training and hold Masters in Marketing Management from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India.
 


Jim Meyer, VP Communications & Multimedia Sales 

As Vice President of Communications & Multimedia Sales, Jim Meyer is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for AGNITY’s Communications & Multimedia business. He has an extensive background in the Communications industry selling turnkey solutions consisting of hardware, software and professional services. Prior to joining AGNITY, Jim held leadership positions at top telecom organizations like Ericsson, Telcordia, Vallent and Ventraq, and has over 25 years of experience in sales, business development, management, marketing, program management and engineering.  He has numerous successes working with clients to close complex multi-million dollar solutions.  Jim has a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Marquette and an MBA from the University of Dallas. 

Simon Westbrook, Chief Financial Officer

Simon Westbrook joins AGNITY as Chief Financial officer. He has over 25 years of senior management experience across many technology companies, including Silicon Valley start-ups. In his prior roles as a CFO, he has successfully managed operating finances and fresh fund infusions for communications & multimedia equipment, and semiconductor companies like Public Wireless Inc., Nanoamp Solutions Inc., and Sage Inc (NASDAQ: SAGI). Mr. Westbrook has also held a number of senior financial positions at Creative Technology (NASDAQ: CREAF), a leading PC multimedia company, and Atari Corp (AMEX: ATC), the video game and home computer company, both in the USA and overseas.  He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge in the United Kingdom. 

Atul Varshneya, VP Enterprise Solutions and Product Engineering

Atul Varshneya runs the Enterprise Solutions business unit and Healthcare Product Engineering at AGNITY. Prior to this, Atul was the Chief Architect, Multimedia Applications, at GENBAND, Inc., and Assoc. VP/Chief Architect at BayPackets. In these roles Atul envisioned and architected NGN Service Delivery Platforms and applications for the Tier-1 and Tier-2 carriers as well as enterprises based on industry standards. Prior to this, as a Principal Architect at Motorola he had developed Reference Architecture for Motorola's PCS products. Atul is a member of expert groups in standards bodies and industry forums, and a frequent speaker at various trade shows. He has a Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, India.

Subhash Verma, Chief Operating Officer and VP-Engineering, India

Subhash Verma has wide industry experience spanning over 23 years in Telecommunication Networks, Data Communications, Value Added Services, and Software Technologies. He is heading the Engineering and Technology at AGNITY India and is responsible for product development, testing, professional services and R&D. Subhash joined AGNITY from GENBAND where he was VP of Engineering & Technology and was heading R&D at GENBAND's International Development Center (IDC) at Noida, India, driving Product Development, Testing and new products innovation. Before GENBAND, Subhash was working as Assoc. VP of Technology at BayPackets Inc, USA, where he played a critical leadership role in setting the strategic technology direction for the company. Prior to joining BayPackets, Subhash worked as Director in Department of Telecommunications, India’s national telecom policy development, licensing and monitoring body, for 13 years. He had been a speaker at various international conferences. Subhash received both a Bachelor of Engineering and Masters in Computer Science and Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, India.
