ACONYX Next-Gen IN™

AGNITY’s ACONYX Next Generation Intelligent Network (Next-Gen IN) is a suite of carrier-grade applications for deploying in IN and IMS networks in a protocol independent fashion. The ACONYX Next-Gen IN™ applications suite includes: Advanced Toll Free, Account Codes, Voice Virtual Private Network (VPN), Automated Call Distribution and Local Number Portability.

ACONYX Next-Gen IN applications work on various partner’s IN-platforms/application servers to provide carrier-grade application solutions to customers. All the applications in the ACONYX Next-Gen IN Application suite co-exist on a single application server. The applications are protocol independent and can be deployed across multiple network architectures/protocols including TDM and VoIP/IMS networks. All these applications support wholesale/retail arrangement.

Advanced Toll-Free

The ACONYX Advanced Toll-Free or Free Phone service is a core network application that allows callers to make free phone calls to a service subscriber by dialing a special service access number (e.g., 8XX numbers in the USA). The calls are billed to service subscribers. The service provides for advanced routing rules such as Time Based Routing, Origin Based Routing, Percentage Based Routing etc., to handle the incoming calls. The application also provides a web-based interface to create a complex routing plan in a routing tree form which even includes custom announcements.

Voice VPN

The ACONYX Voice VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows enterprises to implement their private voice network, interconnecting multiple office locations using shared PSTN as well as Voice over IP (VoIP) networks. This is one of the most feature-rich VPN applications available in the market today.

Account Code

The ACONYX Account Codes application, allows service providers to support validated and un-validated account codes for residential and business customers. Callers using phones belonging to an Account Code Subscriber are required to enter one of the assigned account codes for making a call. Service providers use account codes for authorizing calls and for segregating/grouping billing statements.

Automatic Call Distribution

The AGNITY Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) application provides a network level intelligent call routing capability for call centers. This helps route the call within the network even before it hits a call center.

Local Number Portability

Local Number portability (LNP) is an Intelligent Network (IN) capability that allows end users of a telephone network to change their service provider while retaining their existing telephone numbers. LNP has been mandated by several countries including USA and Canada.

ACONYX Next-Gen IN Migration Strategy

AGNITY has a well-defined strategy to assist customers with their migration from a legacy network to an IMS/VoIP-based network. The ACONYX Next-Gen IN applications supports SIP as well as IN/SS7 protocols with the application transparent to the underlying network protocols. Services can be migrated from legacy SCP to ACONYX NGIN solution step-by-step with a quick rollback mechanism.
