AGNITY Strengthens Executive Leadership Team with Appointment of Pat Geoghegan as VP of Sales and Rao Seshagiri as VP of Technology Solutions
FREMONT, Calif. – AGNITY Inc., a leading global technology and consulting services company, today announced the appointment of Pat Geoghegan as Vice President of Sales effective immediately. Geoghegan brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the telecommunications industry, serving in senior management, sales and business development functions during his career. He will report to AGNITY's chief executive officer, Sanjeev Chawla. As vice president of sales, Geoghegan is responsible for the successful execution of AGNITY sales strategy, extending his prior experience in building and managing direct and indirect sales organizations.
AGNITY also announced the appointment of Rao (Sesh) Seshagiri as Vice President of Technology Solutions responsible for business development and building channel relationships with OEMs in mobile technology and enterprise IT markets. Seshagiri will also report to Sanjeev Chawla.
Before joining AGNITY, Geoghegan was the Area Vice President of Sales for Openwave Systems. Prior to Openwave, he was VP of Tier-1 Sales for GENBAND, a provider of media gateway solutions. Geoghegan also has held leadership roles with Verizon and Intel/Shiva, having sold complex solutions to customers ranging from service providers, Fortune 1000 and small-medium size businesses. He has developed strategic business relationships with several Tier 1 OEM providers as well as other indirect sales channels during his career.
Seshagiri has more than 15 years experience in the telecommunications industry covering wireless, Voice over IP, SoftSwitch, IMS core and applications. Seshagiri joins AGNITY from Veraz Networks, where he was VP and GM for its User Services Business unit, responsible for IMS core and applications and Class 5 SoftSwitch products. Prior to Veraz, he worked at Hughes Network Systems (cellular systems) and Philips Consumer Communications (mobile phones). He holds a master’s of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is an MBA candidate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
